The rainbow serpent by Adam morgan

Deep in the rain-forest, lived a beautiful rainbow serpent that had heaps of colours. 

The animals saw the rainbow serpent with beautiful colours and the animals thought that they could have some colours.

They asked him for some and the serpent said "OK"  but there wasn't enough to go around .

The rainbow serpent made the green tree snake green and the kangaroo was turn orange .   then there was not enough to go around and some remained brown and the rainbow serpent remained brown too.

Once upon a time ,there was a beautiful,colorful rainbow snake named Warnayarra and the only thing that was special to him was his family.

The next day,the rainbow serpent heard the animals talking about wanting colors he heard the dolphin ,kookaburra, galah and the green tree snake.

After that,the rainbow serpent  decided to share his beautiful colours with the other beautiful animals.Not all of the animals got colours from the rainbow serpent.

Not long after,there are not enough colours to go around so the rainbow serpent went home and thought that the animals that didn't get colours would hate him so the animals that didn't get any colours said ''it doesn't matter we like it plain and love you.

How the emu can't fly By Truly

In the dreaming there lived a brown emu, and the emu had best friends who were the Aboriginal people. Those Aboriginal peoples tribe were Wiradjuri, they were very kind because they gave him food and water.

One night the Aboriginal men went out to get some food for dinner so they left emu in charged, everybody was asleep and so was the emu. After awhile another tribe came and their tribe were Worimi and they were trying to kill the people while emu was camouflage in the tree asleep.

In the morning the Wiradjuri men came back and saw that their tribe was killed. As the emu was still alive in the tree asleep, so they pulled him out and put him in a big fire of ring and the fire burnt his wings.

They burnt him because he did not do his job properly and he disappointed them.

For now on emus can't fly again.

How the snake lost his legs. by John

Once long ago in the rainforest which was a  place with damp air very humid with lots of salt water

water holes their was a snake who loved to eat frogs and sometimes falls asleep in the daytime.

 The snake was so hot that he went for a swim,the snake found the water so relaxing that he drifted of to sleep.

The next morning he found that his legs  were so wrinkly that they fell of,he was too slow to catch a frog
so he ate a plant instead but he didn't know that the plant was poisonous.

The next  morning  when he woke up he figured out that he also had a new skill which was that he was very quiet so he snuck behind a frog and ate it he cold eat a frog again the end

The Hunter and the Cockatoo by kiara

Once upon a time lived two cockatoos and one snake.There were best friends and they had each others backs.And they lived in the county and out back in the bush land.

Next, there lived two hunter and they would go hunting for their family and when the hunter saw the cockatoo wanted their feathers.

 Then the hunters went onto the sacred land and speared the cockatoo.And then the snake bit the hunter.

Then, the snake bit the hunter and he felt a  little bit  of poison.And then they learnt to never go on sacred land again.

How all the animals got there colours By Jamie

There was a snake that had lots of colours
and all the animals called him the rainbow serpent.

The rainbow serpent gave all the colours to
the animals.He gave some colours to the emu.The colour that the emu got was a nice
pink the emu loud it.

But when it was the lizards turn to get his colours the rainbow snake just noticed that there was no colours left he was very upset
that he had no more colours left.

He slid into his hole and did not come out until the next day. The lizard and the turtle
and the green tree snake side it is OK we like the colours that we have. We just want to be your friend.

Then all the animals were happy they were all
playing with the rainbow serpent.


Some of the animals shared their colours with
the other animals. Every one was very happy. all the animals thanked the rainbow serpent.

And all the animals lived happy ever after
