Life Cycle of a Honey Bee By Ailsa

A honey bee is an insect it has four stages in its life cycle. There are many different types of bees and they live in big groups called colonies.

To begin with the queen bee lays eggs into the wax cell. Following this a couple of days later the egg turns into Larva. Therefore the worker bee feeds the Larva so the Larva can grow into its full size.

As a result of this the worker bee seals the wax cell after that the Larva makes a cocoon ,as it goes thrrough a metamophosisand turns into a pupa.

After a while the pupa becomes an adult. In the end sadly the adult honey bee only lives for five weeks until it dies. As a consequence the honey bee only lives a short busy life.

The life cycle of a honey bee is very quick compared to the life cycle of a human.Honey bees make honey by collecting nectar and pollen.
