Is grafiti art or vandalism? by Ailsa

Graffiti is writing or pictures that are scribbled scratched or sprayed onto a wall or public area.It is thought that graffiti is art because it brightens up sad and  gloomy places. It stands to reason that graffiti is vandalism therefore sometimes graffiti artists spray rude lies and secrets about innocent people.

Arguments for
To begin with it is thought that graffiti isn't always offensive vandalism or rude words and pictures that's why me and other people agree that graffiti isn't always vandalism.

Secondly many people admit that if you like doing art you might get a job for painting murals over illegal graffiti

A further argument is that  the common belief is that legal graffiti can brighten up dark and gloomy places.

Another reason is that most of the time graffiti is rude and offensive so most people would consider it as vandalism.

Finally, the general perception is that illegal graffiti ruins public transport public areas therefore that's why heaps of people consider graffiti as vandalism.

In summary, I recommend that graffiti should be considered art well just the beautiful murals, pictures and kind writing.
